37 Weeks

this week, Mohs ate like a king.  he's such a sporadic eater (despite those cheeks and thighs!) but eating is an event we celebrate and he is just so unbelievably cute at it.

he had guacamole for dinner one night.  he must have unique taste for gourmet avocados + garlic + lemon juice.  or he likes the guaco-stache.

he got a surprise visit from uncle joe, who gave him a chunk of watermelon to gnaw on.  why didn't mommy think of that?

and of course, enjoyed french fries from granny todd after an afternoon rolling in the grass at the park.

and made mommy happy -- devouring the toast and homemade apple butter.

then daddy helped him unload.  baby on potty = wishful thinking buuuuuut <3

36 Weeks

Mohs can now be found almost exclusively in the standing position.  to get a better view of the TV...

or escape into the backyard....

or to spy on the neighbors...

still not sure about the color of those eyes but they're gorgeous for sure.

Day 253

Mohs can now pull himself up ... and squish himself comfortably back onto the floor so he can race off to a new adventure.  to the extent anything was safe before the 253rd day, nothing is safe anymore!

35 Weeks

Mohs will not be an army-crawler forever!  altho he is very efficient at dragging himself around by the elbows, he will now get on his hands and knees and make a few moves before flattening back out for the remainder of his journey.

in fact, Mohs won'tbe crawling at all for long... he can do a whole lap around the house holding onto fingers and takes big purposeful steps.  P started walking just a few weeks short of his first birthday; i suspect Mohs will beat him out.  he obviously is in love with his little walker :)

we took the kids to the zoo this weekend, and Mohs was totally into the reptiles.  every time he made eye contact, he'd kick kick kick and wave his little arms around to try to get at it.  he also seemed to enjoy the fish.

he rode the skyride with daddy, which he seemed to enjoy until he didn't ... giving mommy a heartattack with all his wiggling back there.  thankfully, daddy was prepared with binky in pocket, and we all landed safely.

34 Weeks

Mohs is moving at an alarming rate.  and i am almost sure he's surpassed his brother in dexterity and determination.  while P is (still) happy to sit in his little plastic baby bathtub and pour water from one cup to another, if you leave Mohs alone in the bath for 5 seconds, he will try to escape the baby tub for the drain, daddy's shampoo in the corner, the bathroom rug, etc.

i am still sure that you will see Mohs on ripley's in the not-too-distant future as one of those people who can write with both hands and both feet. here he is picking a toy up with his feet, and transfer it to his hands, in lieu of sitting up and grabbing it with his hands.

Mohs loves to blow raspberries and shovel things into his mouth.  here he is eating an orange.  i'm not sure if it's the taste or the texture but you can see all of his best funny lip faces when he eats an orange.
